Nada Gambier
Nada Gambier was born in Finland in 1980. She studied dance at The Place in London before joining the second cycle at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels from 2000 to 2002. Her first solo creation Confessions - The autopsy of a performancetoured extensively around Europe between 2003 and 2008. In 2004/2005, she danced in Beginnings/Endings by Charlotte Vanden Eynde.
In October 2006, she premiered with her second production Act of living - Catalogue of failure at cc Berchem in Belgium. That year, she also participated in the creation of Cristian Duarte, Peter Fol and Shani Granot: What’s Wrong?, which premiered in February 2007 at Monty in Antwerp.
In 2007, she worked with Edit Kaldor for her theatre piece Point Blank that premiered in the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels in May.In October 2008, Nada Gambier premiered her third performance Once upon a time in Petaouchnok in the Beursschouwburg in Brussels.In 2009, she worked as an artistic advisor for Charlotte Vanden Eynde for her solo creation I’m sorry this is (not) a story.
Towards the end of 2009 and throughout 2010 Nada conducted a series of research cycles around essential elements of her work (such as the physical body, food and props).
In the spring of 2011 she participated in the creation WORK by Edit Kaldor as well as worked as artistic advisor for Charlotte Vanden Eynde for her solo creation Shapeless.
During the season 2011/12 Nada will work as a performer for Kate McIntosh as well as embark on a new creation of her own called Fiction in action (working title). The creation will go in premiere in November 2012 in DeSingel in Antwerp.
